Israel and Antisemitism in Texas

As a Biblical Christian, a staunch believer in democracy, freedom of religion, and human decency, I stand firmly with Israel, oppose terrorism in any form, and pray for a quick and satisfactory end to the war now raging in the Holy Lands.

There is no place for antisemitism in the world, our nation, on our college campuses, or in our hearts. Incitement to genocide is not free speech, it is a crime and should prosecuted to the full extent of the law. It is easy to say, “never again,” it’s another thing to put that sentiment into meaningful action.

Like you, I have been shocked, heartbroken, and angered that so many within our state and nation are prepared to sacrifice our most fundamental values and side with terrorists who would just as soon murder any American, right or left, as accept their support.

I call on President Biden, Governor Abbott, the Republican Party of Texas, and my fellow Texans to speak loudly, consistently and with moral clarity in support of the Jewish people at home and abroad; to stand firmly with Israel’s right to self-defense and self-determination, and to preserve its own existence within the framework of the laws of war.
